I just bought the Mi Infrared Remote control pictured above. It can be setup via the MI Home app (Same as Yeelights and Xiaomi Camera). Does anyone know if there is a binding available for it.
I noticed an IR Remote option in the "Add device" on Mi Home app. Immediately I came up with an idea to smartify my AC. Sadly after hours of Googling I came up only with few shady webstores that sell this device. Question: Is the IR Remote available anywhere? Does it even work?
The remote that comes with the Mi Box is a bluetooth remote and that can control the box. The Mi Box itself has an IR receiver and can accept commands from an IR remote (such as a non-bluetooth Logitech Harmony). All this whole thing means you can pick one of two technologies to control your device.
What to do if Mi Remote doesn't find your tech? Check to see if the device has an infrared sensor on it. Electronics may not support remote control.
